WMS Partners is pleased to announce that Sam Callard has joined WMS Partners as a Senior Client Advisor. Sam joins WMS Partners from Matheys Lane Capital Management, a multi-family office in Providence, RI that has approximately $800 million in assets under advisement.
As Vice President at Matheys Lane, Sam advised client families on all aspects of their balance sheets and investments, reporting directly to the client families alongside the Managing Director at Matheys Lane. With respect to investments, Sam’s focus was on clients’ alternative investment portfolios. He led the due diligence process for prospective managers of private funds, including managers of private equity funds, venture capital funds and hedge funds. He served as the lead advisor on a number of direct private equity investments. Finally, Sam served as the primary advisor on clients’ estate plans, working closely with outside legal counsel and tax accountants.

Sam earned a J.D. cum laude from Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Haverford College.
A Baltimore native, Sam is looking forward to getting settled in Baltimore with his wife, Rachel Gahan, and their two daughters.
