HB|WMS recently celebrated the legendary career of our beloved colleague Bob Killibrew. After 15 years with WMS, Bob is entering the next phase of his fascinating life! A graduate of Yale University, where he played on the men’s tennis team, Bob earned his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania before starting his decades long career in wealth management. Bob, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) charter holder, has been a guest expert on Wall Street Week and was President of the Baltimore CFA Society. He started 1800 Capital Management which became Brown Investment Advisory & Trust and also worked for Alex. Brown.
A native of Lookout Mountain, TN, Bob has been an active member of the Baltimore community for over 30 years. Bob has served as Chairman of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, President of the Yale Alumni Association of Maryland, Chairman of the Blood Program of the Red Cross, President of the Poplar Hill and the Gadd Road Associations, and served on the Boards of the Roland Park Country School, The Elkridge Club, The Lyric, and The Irvine Nature Center. He was Chairman of the Board of the West Chop Club and was on the Finance Committee of the Baltimore Community Foundation.
In the next chapter of his story, Bob will be splitting his time between the golf course, Martha’s Vineyard (his favorite retreat!) and spending time with his lovely wife Pedie, their three children and 4 grandchildren. We’ll miss Bob’s charts, his jokes and most importantly, his support and friendship.
