Paul Speargas, CFA

Paul has focused his career on working with high-net-worth individuals and multiple generations of families helping them navigate complex financial issues and develop long-term strategies.  Paul served as the firm’s Chief Investment Officer for 6 years. 

Prior to joining WMS Partners, Paul was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Mercantile Investment and Wealth Management.  Before that, Paul worked as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Bank of America's Private Bank and its predecessors. Paul is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and an active member of the CFA Institute and the Baltimore CFA Society. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in finance, from Loyola University.

Paul is on the Board of Trustees of The Odyssey School, where he serves as Chair of the Investment Committee. He is a former member of the Board Quality Committee for the Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC), a member of the Loyola Blakefield Alumni Board and a former Trustee of Mother Seton Academy.
