In his role as a Financial Advisor, Austin assists in the analysis, research, and production of financial planning reports and collaborates with portfolio managers on the investment management of client portfolios, including public and private investments. Austin is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Private Income Fund committees.
Prior to joining WMS, Austin was an Investment Associate with Greenspring Advisors where he oversaw portfolio rebalancing, trading, investment manager due diligence and was a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Austin began his career in security-based lending at Morgan Stanley and was a Senior Portfolio Associate with 1919 Investment Counsel.
Originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Austin earned a Bachelor of Arts from Goucher College with a double major in Mathematics and Business Management. After graduating in 2009, Austin moved to the north of England to complete his Master’s in Management with a focus in Finance at Durham Business School in Durham County, UK.
